Tracking summer-like heat to close out September

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and comfortable with lows in the upper 50s to around 60.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and hot with highs in the upper 80s.

EXTENDED: We have a quiet week ahead to close out the month of September with unseasonably warm temperatures through the entire 7-day stretch. High pressure builds in and is locked across the region with two low pressure system, one to the southwest and the other along the southeastern coast. Clouds from an off-shore tropical system near the Carolinas mid-week will allow for some high, thin clouds, but not much of an impact is expected to our sensible weather. We'll see highs in the mid-upper 80s to start the week, with temperatures falling to near 60 each night. No rain is in the forecast, so drought conditions will continue across Mid-Missouri to kick off October.
