Tracking fog Tuesday morning, wet and stormy afternoon
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy with patchy fog developing late. Lows in the lower to mid-60s.
TOMORROW: Morning fog with rain and storms moving in by late morning. 1-1.5" of rain possible through Tuesday night. Highs in the mid-70s.
EXTENDED: We'll see fog developing by daybreak, especially east of Highway 63 ahead of rain that will move in by late morning. Some of this could be dense, slowing things for the morning commute. Showers and a few storms look to move in from the west after about 9 or 10AM, with the heaviest rain by mid-late afternoon. The risk for severe weather looks limited to far southern Missouri, but we may get a few strong wind gusts embedded in rain, especially near the Lake/I-44 area. Showers and storms become more scattered Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, with a break in rain on Wednesday morning. As low pressure spins across the region, we could see another batch of rain and storms wrap around the low in the afternoon. Clouds could linger into Thursday, but rain is looking more limited. Rain amounts will be around 1-2", with the higher end of that range near the Lake of the Ozarks. We'll see more clearing by Friday, and in turn, warmer temperatures back near 80 to end the week. The weekend looks fantastic with highs in the lower 80s and sunshine.Â
