Tracking scattered storms through this evening, another round Tuesday

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy with a few storms before midnight. Lows in the upper 60s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny with isolated to scattered showers and storms. Highs in the lower 90s.

EXTENDED: Temperatures remain mild overnight with lows in the upper 60s, and any storms diminish by or before midnight. The severe threat will be low with these, but we could see some heavy downpours and an isolated strong gust in storms that collapse quickly. Tomorrow, the front responsible for today's storms will move a bit further west, so we could see a similar set up but with better storm coverage west of highway 63. We'll remain hot with highs in the lower 90s. Wednesday looks like the last rain-free day with highs in the low 90s before a closed low pressure system works across the Plains and brings rounds of rain and storms each day from late Thursday into early next week. There's a good chance we will have dry time in between rounds, allowing temperatures to warm up to around 80 from Friday through Monday. Rain amounts from now through next week only add up to about an inch, but the best coverage currently looks like it will be between Thursday and Saturday.
