Tracking isolated showers and cool temperatures for Labor Day

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with lows in the upper 50s to around 60.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy with a chance for a few showers. Cool with highs in the lower to mid-70s.

EXTENDED: Northwest upper level flow will continue to keep temperatures below average over the next few days, with a few disturbances in the jet stream triggering a few showers under an otherwise dry air mass through Tuesday. Temperatures reach the mid-upper 70s on Tuesday ahead of a cold front that will move through Mid-Missouri on Wednesday. That could bring another round of light rain on Wednesday, followed by an even cooler air mass that arrives from the north for the end of the week. Morning temperatures Thursday will fall into the upper 40s to low 50s with highs near 70 degrees. We'll rebound Friday after a chilly morning as lows fall into the upper 40s to around 50. Next weekend is looking pleasant with more sunshine and highs in the upper 70s.
