Tracking a cool Wednesday morning with a few showers by evening

THIS AFTERNOON: Mostly sunny and beautiful with highs in the upper 70s and low humidity.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cool with lows falling into the lower 50s.

EXTENDED: High pressure overhead will continue to keep skies clear across Mid-Missouri with light winds this afternoon. Morning temperatures fall back into the lower 50s with some river valley fog possible tomorrow, and clouds begin to increase by afternoon ahead of low pressure that will slide by to our southwest. A few showers may skirt by the Lake area between Wednesday night and Thursday morning, leaving some lingering cloud cover into Thursday. We're in for a beautiful weekend with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s with lowered humidity and some passing clouds, but limited rain is expected with drier air in place.
