Tracking a mild week ahead of a big weekend cooldown

TODAY: Wednesday is more mild, with highs in the 80s feeling like 90s with a north breeze and a heat index in the 90s. UV is high today, a level 8 under partly cloudy skies.

TONIGHT: Skies are clear overnight, and temperatures fall into the mid-60s, cooler than we've been recently.

EXTENDED: After a cool start, Thursday is another mild day. Under sunny skies, we'll be in the low-to-mid 80s feeling like upper 80s to near 90. A similar day is expected Friday. Saturday will feel mild as well, but a few extra clouds are likely along a cold front that arrives during the day. Right now rain chances look like less than 20%, but a few showers are possible along the front. More clarity will come on this soon, but if we get rain, it will be minimal and unlikely to have any notable impact. The greater impact will be the surge of northern air that brings fall-like temperatures AND dew points. We expect highs in the 70s, lows in the 50s, and low humidity Sunday through Tuesday. This will likely linger much of next week.
