Tracking a comfortable Wednesday before dangerous heat returns late week
TONIGHT: Mostly clear with an isolated storm early, lows in the upper 60s.
TOMORROW: Comfortable with slightly lower humidity and lower temperatures with highs in the mid-80s.
EXTENDED: Tomorrow is comfortable with slightly lower humidity and temperatures in the mid-80s. High pressure begins to build for the rest of the week into the weekend, shifting winds back to the southeast and pushing temperatures into the lower to mid-90s. Dew points are expected to be in the 70s, sending the heat index soaring into the 100-105 degree range. We'll be closer to 105 Saturday and Sunday, prompting an ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day. Monday looks nearly as hot, but as the high pressure ridge begins to break down, we could see a few disturbances bring rain chances between Monday and Tuesday before we cool down back into the mid-upper 80s by the middle of next week.Â
