Tracking spotty afternoon storm chances with a late week rise in temperatures

TODAY: We'll have at least small chances for rain through the day, but better chances return in the evening. Clouds and intermittent rain will keep highs in the 80s. With dew points high, we'll feel like 90s.

TONIGHT: Better rain coverage comes tonight, with scattered showers and storms overspreading the region. Another 0.25" to 0.75" will be possible for some.

EXTENDED: Tuesday brings another chance for rain focused both in the morning and evening with some dry time in between. Highs are similarly in the 80s. Wednesday's forecast is drier as the low that is amplifying these chances for rain drifts east. This will take the surface front tied to it just southeast of us. This will push better moisture and rain chances to our south. We look mostly dry Thursday through Saturday, but chances for rain creep back into the forecast by the end of the weekend. Heat and humidity will return in the dry stretch, with highs in the 90s Friday through Sunday.
