Tracking hazy skies and mild temperatures

THIS AFTERNOON: Mostly sunny, but hazy, with highs in the upper 70s. Air quality will be at moderate levels, meaning healthy individuals are safe to be outside, but those with sensitivity to pollutants and smoke should take caution.

TONIGHT: Skies remain smokey but mostly clear of clouds overnight. Low temperatures fall to the high 50s and low 60s.

EXTENDED: The weekend will be pleasant, with sunshine and highs in the upper 70s. Wildfire smoke may keep skies hazy, with light air quality impacts for sensitive groups. Temperatures may touch 80 degrees on Sunday, with continued mild humidity. Southerly winds return by Monday as high pressure that brought us this cool down slides east. This pushes temperatures into the 80s and dew points into the mid-60s through Wednesday. Widely scattered rain chances return Monday through Wednesday, but many will stay dry. Heat likely returns by the end of the forecast as highs return to the upper 80s next weekend.
