Tracking extensive dangerous heat

TODAY: It's another ABC17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day with highs forecast in the 90s, and heat index values in the triple digits. This afternoon, it will feel like near 105. Otherwise, a calm sunnier day is in store.

TONIGHT: Temperatures settle in the 70s overnight, with mostly clear skies.

EXTENDED: Wednesday and Thursday are similarly warm, with heat index values near 105, give or take. Mostly sunny skies are also forecast. Friday brings a few added clouds, and a low chance for rain. This may keep some cool, depending on coverage. This low chance for rain continues into Saturday. Temperatures are still forecast near 90, with heat index values in the 100-105 range likely. Sunshine returns Sunday and Monday with continued heat and humidity.
