Tracking fog tomorrow morning, dry start to the week

TONIGHT: Clearing and cooler with lows in the upper 60s to around 70. Patchy fog developing before dawn.

TOMORROW: Fog early, mostly sunny with highs in the mid-80s.

EXTENDED: Morning fog develops Monday as low temperatures dip to near the dew point under clear skies with light winds following Sunday's rain. Most of the area remains dry on Monday behind the front, but we'll be in somewhat of an active summer like pattern yet again for the upcoming week with multiple disturbances that could slide by and bring storm chances. The best chance of rain reaching Mid-Missouri would be Tuesday as low pressure slides by to our south. High pressure builds across the southeast for the rest of the week, keeping temperatures hot and humidity hanging around, and the main storm path nearby at the top of the ridge. This means we could see daily pop-up thunderstorms with highs in the upper 80s each day. The pattern looks to hold into the weekend with heat index values in the low to mid-90s. Despite the rain chances, severe weather risks look low with a lack of wind shear to support stronger storms.
