Tracking heat and humidity, storms to end the week
TONIGHT: Mostly clear and mild with lows in the upper 60s to around 70. Patchy fog possible in low lying areas.
TOMORROW: A few storms for areas north of I-70 early, then mostly sunny with a few isolated storms possible. Highs in the upper 80s with heat indices in the low 90s.
EXTENDED: onight will be comfortable with lows in the upper 60s to around 70. We could see some patchy fog in a few low lying areas again. A weakening storm complex to our north could bring a few scattered showers and rumbles of thunder to northern portions of the area early Thursday, and wherever those storms die out is where a few new ones could form by late afternoon. The overall rain chances are low, and we'll deal with humidity again with feels like temperatures in the 90s tomorrow. Friday will be the hottest day as highs get into the low 90s with a heat index approaching 100. Friday night into Saturday will be the best chance of rain with a cold front moving in, and the front looks to stall in the region through early next week, providing daily chances of rain and storms. Wind shear remains low, however, so the risk for severe weather also remains low. Highs only reach the lower 80s over the weekend with warmer air again early next week.Â
