Tracking low humidity and sunshine on Wednesday

TONIGHT: Mostly clear with river valley fog developing by daybreak. Lows in the mid-60s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and warm with low humidity and highs in the mid-80s.

EXTENDED: High pressure holds overhead for the next several days, but eventually begins to work to the east/southeast by late in the week, allowing winds to shift back to the south. That southerly breeze will bring humidity back up by Thursday and Friday, pushing dew points into the upper 60s to around 70. Heat index values on Thursday will be in the low 90s and back into the upper 90s to near 100 by Friday and the weekend. There could be a few disturbances that produce afternoon storms on Saturday and Sunday, but a washout isn't expected. Next week, a cold front approaches and stalls over the region, bringing chances for rain and storms through mid-week.
