Tracking heat and humidity along with low storm chances the next few days
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy to mostly clear with lows in the low to mid-70s.
TOMORROW: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy with highs near 90 and a heat index in the upper 90s. A spot storm or two is possible by late afternoon.
EXTENDED: I'm tracking continued heat and humidity for the next few days, with a chance of a few widely scattered showers and/or storms tonight through Thursday as upper high pressure holds on. Highs reach around 90 with a heat index between 96-100. The upper pattern begins to flatten out on Friday, allowing a few more impulses aloft to trigger a chance for daily scattered storms, with plenty of dry time in between. Temperatures still manage the upper 80s to around 90. We finally see a more substantial pattern shift into next week as a cold front moves through between Monday and Tuesday, sending temperatures back into the mid-upper 80s with more organized showers and storms between Monday and Tuesday. Severe weather risks look low for the time being.Â
