Tracking a warmer and humid Sunday

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy conditions with mild temperatures, possibility of some fog over areas near bodies of water as humidity remains high and winds stay calm.

TOMORROW: Clouds will continue to roll in, but rain chances remain off to our West for most of the morning. Temperatures continue in the mid 80s, and there's a chance for some showers towards the evening hours in the southeastern portions of the state that will exist into Monday morning.

EXTENDED: Temperatures will continue to climb throughout most of our week. Humidity levels also remain fairly high, adding a couple degrees to the heat index. We remain fairly dry at the beginning of the work week, with our next big chance for storms this upcoming Wednesday. High energy levels in the atmosphere suggest potential for strong storms especially to our North, but the potential for severity is dependent on the amount of shear our area sees. That low pressure system will make it's way over the northerly portion of the state Wednesday, bringing a cold front along with it. Temperatures will decrease a little to the mid 80s. After that, they continue to climb back up to seasonal averages, and by the end of the week we could be seeing our first 90 degree high of the season. The end of our week will also have a higher heat index as well as not only the temperatures continue to climb, but our dew point as well.
