Showers and storms expected for the U.S. Open this weekend

In Missouri, if you like golf, you might be gearing up to watch the US Open this upcoming Thursday through Sunday in Oakmont, Pennsylvania. Many golfers might be struggling however due to the upcoming forecast.

When looking at temperatures, it's going to be a warmer afternoon each day until Saturday where widespread chances of showers and storms going to cool us back down towards the lower 80s in Oakmont.

When looking at the ABC 17 Stormtrack Futuretrack Thursday and Friday, Oakmont is going to be dry until Friday afternoon. Isolated chances of showers and storms remain possible looking below severe weather parameters.

Saturday is going to be looking more widespread with showers and storms, so lightning could be an issue that could be delaying some of the golfing. This will last through Sunday afternoon, which could cause some issues across the area.

Rainfall totals across the area for Oakmont are going to be looking at close to about 0.5", which could be impacting playing conditions.

If you have golf fever and are looking to get out this weekend, chances of showers and storms remain possible, but there should be some dry time to get out more likely into Sunday afternoon
