Tracking a hazy afternoon with warmer temperatures before Tuesday storms

TODAY: Highs climb into the upper 80s with some areas close to 90 degrees. Skies remain hazy thanks to wildfire smoke from Central Canada. Winds remain out of the southwest at 5-10 mph and gusts up to 20 mph.

TONIGHT: Overnight lows cool to the upper 80s with a slight haze remain blocking chances of seeing stars from being more visible. Winds remain out of the southwest a little strong at 8-12 mph and gusts up to 22 mph.

EXTENDED: Tuesday welcomes showers and storms from the late morning to the west to the evening hours further into eastern portions of Mid-Missouri. Some showers and storms have the potential to become strong to severe with strong winds and hail being the primary risks. Highs cool into the mid to upper 70s Wednesday and Thursday with more chances of showers and storms that last through the weekend.
