Tracking continued cool days this week with rain over Memorial Day weekend

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy with a few light showers across western Missouri late tonight. Lows in the upper 40s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 60s.

EXTENDED: While most of us are clear, there is a chance for few quick hitting showers late tonight across western and southwest Missouri. Tomorrow is sunny again, but about 10 degrees cooler than average with highs in the upper 60s. Friday morning will be cold with some places falling into the lower 40s, and afternoon highs topping the mid-upper 60s. We could see a few showers by Friday night, but the bulk of rain comes between Saturday and Sunday, particularly Saturday night. Thankfully, severe weather isn't expected, but according to the NWS this could be our coolest Memorial Day weekend since 2003. Rain amounts will be in the 2-3" range, with the higher end of that range positioned south of I-70. Northwest upper winds continue to keep us cooler than average into Monday, but we begin to dry out with more rain-free time on Memorial Day if you have grilling plans. Highs reach the upper 60s. We'll dry out for a lot of next week as high pressure builds again, bringing temperatures back into the 70s by Tuesday.
