Tracking a big warm up through late week, limited rain

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and mild with lows in the lower 60s. Patchy fog in river valleys and low lying areas.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and hot with highs in the upper 80s with south winds gusting to 20 mph.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking an even warmer day tomorrow as a warm front lifts through the region, bringing highs into the mid-80s tomorrow with sunshine. Thursday is even hotter ahead of a cold front as temperatures remain in the upper 60s in the morning and soar into the upper 80s. Severe weather chances stay well to our east on Thursday and to our east on Friday, however, there could be a few showers or storms developing along the front in the afternoon, particularly near the I-44 corridor. The weekend looks to start off dry with highs remaining in the 80s on Saturday. Sunday could be a bit more stormy as the front stalls out, with storms possible again on Monday as the boundary lifts north as a warm front. Next week looks active to start, with our next chance of local severe weather possibly on Tuesday afternoon and evening.
