Tracking clearing skies from Friday into the weekend

TONIGHT: Spotty showers coming to and end with gradual clearing overnight. Lows in the upper 40s to low 50s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and mild with highs in the lower 70s.

EXTENDED: Skies gradually clear into Friday, leaving us with an amazing end to the week. We'll warm into the mid-70s on Saturday and into the upper 70s on Sunday. We could see more cloud coverage on Sunday, especially across eastern and southern portions of the state but we stay dry. Low pressure will move back in our direction from the Mississippi Valley on Monday, bringing a chance for a few showers. High pressure settles in for mid-week with highs reaching the 80s between Tuesday and Thursday before another cold front arrives to bring storms at the end of the week. There are some signals for stronger storms by the end of the week, but nothing super clear at this time. The ingredients are lining up for Thursday afternoon into the evening, but with a week out we will continue to fine tune details.
