Tracking a drier but cooler weekend

TODAY: Scattered rain moves east today, with most of Mid-Missouri drying up. However, partly cloudy skies and cool northerly winds will keep temperatures in the 50s most of the day, with highs briefly touching 60 degrees.

TOMORROW: Sunday looks even drier and somewhat milder in the mid-60s. Winds from the north remain steady between 5 and 10 mph, with some gusts up to 20 mph.

EXTENDED: Drier weather lasts through early next week, and highs slowly climb back to near average in the low 70s by Tuesday. An active pattern is expected midweek, with rain chances possible late Tuesday through Thursday, but this rain looks fairly light as most of Mid-Missouri sees less than an inch of rain all week. Late next week is likely drier again as rain doesn't persist much beyond Thursday and Friday.
