Tracking scattered storms today, limited rain chances this weekend

THIS AFTERNOON: Temperatures warm to the 70s. Scattered storms pop up through the evening as a cold front moves through the area.

TONIGHT: Showers become very isolated overnight, and low temperatures fall to the upper 40s.

EXTENDED: Rain chances will linger in eastern Missouri this weekend, where a few sprinkles and light showers are possible. Many will stay dry, though temperatures will be almost ten degrees below average in the lower 60s through early next week. The driest part of the forecast is expected from late Sunday through early Tuesday, but the weather still looks active into May.
