Tracking light rain, cooler temperatures on Friday into the weekend

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with lows in the lower 50s. A few spotty showers possible.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers. Highs in the upper 60s to around 70.

EXTENDED: A few spotty showers and/or storms are possible, but many of us stay completely dry. Tomorrow will be cool and mostly cloudy with highs in the upper 60s as a disturbance moves into the area and brings scattered rain. Over the weekend, a closed low pressure system nearby will bring a few more clouds and perhaps a shower or two between both days. I cooled our high temperatures to account for this, with highs in the mid-60s. Next week, we'll get underneath high pressure, allowing temperatures to rise into the upper 70s early in the week, but another low pressure system arrives mid-week, bringing rain and a few storms between Tuesday night and Wednesday. We can expect an additional 0.5" of rain between Friday and the middle of next week between all of these chances. Severe weather risks look low into the next several days.
