Tracking the potential for strong to severe storms Sunday
TONIGHT: Conditions remain mostly dry with an isolated spot shower possible. Lows cool to the lower 60s. Winds remain out of the southwest at 10-15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
TOMMOROW: Saturday welcomes mostly cloudy skies with highs into the mid-70s. A few isolated spotty storms remain possible into the afternoon hours for eastern portions of Mid-Missouri expanding east of Highway 63.
EXTENDED: An ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day has been issued for Sunday morning through the rest of the day due to the potential for strong to severe storms. A line of showers and storms pushes through the region during the morning hours with large hail and damaging winds being the primary threat. An isolated tornado remains possible, but the risk remains on the lower end. Sunday afternoon poses a more widespread risk of severe storms as there is more energy in the environment. Strong to severe storms with all risk remain on the table for this event as the storms push east of Highway 63 by the afternoon before clearing overnight. More chances of strong storms arrive by Wednesday and highs look to dip into the lower 50s Monday before rebounding by the end of the week into the into the 60s.
