Tracking a warm and sunny PM with strong to severe storms Friday

TODAY: Afternoon highs climb into the mid to upper 70s for areas along and south of I-70 as a warm front sits along this area. Areas north of I-70 will see highs into the upper 60s and lower 70s. Skies remain mostly sunny.

TONIGHT: Lows cool to the upper 40s and lower 50s across the region with partly cloudy skies.

EXTENDED: Thursday welcomes partly cloudy skies with highs into the upper 70s. Thursday night into Friday AM sees the lunar eclipse looking to peak at 1:58 AM Friday. Skies remain partly cloudy during this time period. An ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day has been issued from 1PM-9PM Friday for strong to severe storms capable of producing winds up to 60 mph and an isolated tornado or two. The weekend slightly cools with dry conditions.
