Tracking a sunny and warmer rest of the week
TODAY: Wednesday is another warm day, just not as warm as Tuesday. Added clouds and a chance for spotty showers through the morning will keep temperatures in the 50s this afternoon. Expect southwest winds early this morning, with a shift to northwest winds by noon. Sunshine returns this afternoon.
TONIGHT: Temperatures will fall into the mid-30s overnight with clear skies and northwest winds along the way.
EXTENDED: Warm air lingers into Thursday, despite northerly winds. Highs remain in the mid-50s Thursday afternoon with more sunshine. On Friday, a trough of low pressure will move in from the northwest. Southerly flow ahead of it will speed up warming, and take high temperatures into the 60s by the afternoon. On the back side of the trough, north winds will bring in notably cooler air, leaving Saturday and Sunday with highs in the upper 40s to near 50°. The coldest period will be Sunday morning, where temperatures bottom out in the 20s. We will begin to warm again into early next week, but this comes with a growing chance for rain that onsets as soon as Sunday afternoon and looks to be present across the region into Tuesday.
