Tracking a big cool down and rain late tomorrow night
TONIGHT: Increasing clouds and cooler with lows in the lower 30s.
TOMORROW: Partly cloudy and chilly with highs in the mid-40s.
EXTENDED: We'll see increasing clouds tonight and unfortunately the spring air doesn't stick around with temperatures falling down to near freezing by daybreak as a cold front slides south. Tomorrow will be much cooler during the day with highs in the mid-40s. I'll be tracking that same front lifting north between Tuesday night and Wednesday, bringing a chance of showers and a few storms, and slightly warmer temperatures near 50 on Wednesday. The temperature forecast will continue to be tricky through mid-late week depending on that frontal position. There's a window for freezing rain for areas north of Highway 24 on Wednesday morning, but impacts aren't expected. Rain amounts will range from about 0.25" to 0.5". Thursday will be slightly cooler as rain moves out with highs in the upper 40s. We'll end the week with partial sunshine and highs in the lower 40s on Friday before rain tries to move back in on Friday night. Showers are possible on Saturday, with a slight warm up into the lower 50s. Sunday's looking dry, but colder with temperatures struggling to reach 40 at the warmest part of the day. Next week looks cooler overall, and we'll have chances of precipitation to start the week. Wintry weather is possible as highs will be in the 30s by Monday.
