Tracking a warm start to the week, rain chances

TONIGHT: Increasing clouds and cool with lows in the lower 40s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and windy with highs in the upper 60s.

EXTENDED:  Clouds look to hold on overnight, and morning temperatures will remain in the low 40s. We could see some clearing during the day tomorrow with highs in the upper 60s. The record high in Columbia is in the low 70s, but I don't see us getting close enough to breaking it. Clouds start to filter back in toward late afternoon/early evening as a cold front works south, dropping temperatures into the lower 30s by Tuesday morning. Tuesday is noticeably cooler, with temperatures in the upper 40s. As the front tries to lift back north between Tuesday and Wednesday, rain and a few thunderstorms are likely. Areas of freezing drizzle will be possible on Wednesday morning, generally north of Highway 36. Impacts aren't expected as temperatures will quickly warm back into the 50s during the day. Once the front finally settles back to our south on Thursday, we'll be seasonably cold again with highs in the 40s through Friday. Next weekend could bring another shot at some rain and another cool down by Sunday.
