Tracking rain showers the next 36 hours
TODAY: Rain showers return Thursday morning. Scattered light to moderate rainfall on radar this morning as of 3 a.m. will continue to spread north through the morning. Rainfall will be intermittent at times, but chances for rain will continue through the day and into the night. Temperatures are likely to reach near 50 despite the rainfall. Some thunder will be possible with rainfall Thursday evening.
TONIGHT: Rain may taper off late tonight as a dry slot moves in. This will give some a break from rainfall before the final round pushes through Friday morning.
EXTENDED: The last rain will exit the region from late morning through early afternoon on Friday, leaving the evening dry. Rain totals will range from a quarter inch to an inch in some locations. Temperatures on Friday are cooler, with highs expected in the upper 40s. A return to south winds on Saturday will encourage a return to the 50s by Saturday afternoon, and 60s by Sunday. A cold front passing through Sunday night will be dry, but bring a cooldown into Monday. Highs may reach near 50 Monday, but Tuesday and Wednesday look cooler, with highs in the 40s.
