Tracking an overnight warm up with flurries by tomorrow night
TONIGHT: Mostly clear and windy with warming temperatures overnight. Daybreak temperatures in the upper teens to around 20.
TOMORROW: Windy and warmer with increasing clouds. Highs in the mid-30s.
EXTENDED: We're finally thawing from the deep freeze tonight as winds shift to the south-southwest. Gusts could reach 25 mph, sending temperatures up overnight. Tomorrow will be breezy, but significantly more comfortable as highs reach the mid-30s during the day. Clouds increase ahead of a front that will bring a chance at light snow showers. Areas north of I-70 could see a dusting overnight with flurries farther south. Thursday will start off chilly and end up a couple degrees cooler during the day but we'll be dry. We'll end the week on a colder note on Friday morning with morning temperatures in the upper single digits to low teens and highs near the freezing mark. The weekend starts off warmer than average with highs in the mid-40s on Saturday and more clouds. Low pressure sliding by to our south could bring a few rain or snow showers early on Sunday, but impacts are expected to be minimal. We'll see a warming trend next week as highs climb back into the 40s by Tuesday.
