Tracking patchy fog tonight, warmer temperatures and rain chances tomorrow
TONIGHT: Mostly clear with patchy fog developing late. Lows in the mid-upper 20s.
TOMORROW: Breezy and warmer with highs near 50. Increasing clouds with showers possible toward early evening, especially south of I-70.
EXTENDED: We'll enjoy one more mild day with even warmer temperatures tomorrow before colder air sets in for the weekend. We'll see areas of fog tonight as warmer air moves over some still snow covered spots, with lows in the mid-upper 20s. Tomorrow is breezy but warmer as highs get to near 50 by late afternoon. I'm tracking a chance for showers ahead of an evening cold front, with the majority of rainfall south of I-70. Less than 0.1" is expected area wide. Tomorrow night is cold and windy with lows falling into the low 20s and highs on Saturday only reaching the upper 20s. An ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day goes into effect on Sunday morning as lows fall into the single digits with wind chills a few degrees below zero. Monday and Tuesday mornings will be the coldest as temperatures drop to near zero, and we can expect wind chills anywhere from -5 to -10. Highs from Sunday through Tuesday will be in the teens. Upper winds shift by mid week to the west/southwest, pushing highs back into the mid-upper 30s Wednesday and Thursday.Â
