COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

All Ameren Missouri customers in the Eldon had their power restored around noon Tuesday after losing it in the early morning.

Ameren's outage map showed about 250 customers in the Eldon area without power a little before 11 a.m. Tuesday. The number was down from about 1,700 earlier in the morning.

The map showed power was restored by about noon.

The map shows those customers lost power at about 12:30 a.m. A broken pole caused the outage, an Ameren representative said.

Mid-Missouri saw several outages over the weekend thanks to snow, ice and high winds from a large winter storm. However, most of the outages are concentrated in southeast Missouri, where the storm dumped more ice.

Temperatures in much of Mid-Missouri remained in the single digits Tuesday morning with a high expected to top out around 20 degrees. Nightly lows will bottom out around 0 degrees. The ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Team has called a Weather Alert Day through Thursday morning for extreme cold.
