Tracking another foggy morning, late day rain tomorrow
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with fog developing. Lows in the mid-upper 30s.
TOMORROW: Morning fog followed by rain chances late in the day. Gusty winds with highs in the lower 50s.
EXTENDED: We have another dreary night ahead, but it will be a bit chillier as temperatures fall in to the mid-upper 30s by daybreak. With strong southeast winds and high dew points, we'll see another round of fog through mid-late morning. Once that clears, expect cloudy skies and one more mild day ahead of rain chances by tomorrow evening. Showers look to move in around the evening commute or shortly before. Rain continues through early Tuesday morning, bringing much colder air behind it for New Year's Eve. Highs on Tuesday hang around the 40 degree mark with gusty winds through the day keeping wind chills in the 30s. High pressure settles in for mid-week with northwest upper flow prevailing. That upper wind shift will keep temperatures below average with a chance at some flurries on Thursday and Friday as a few clipper systems move in. We'll keep our focus on precipitation chances for the weekend as temperatures hover near the freezing mark and low pressure moves in off of the Rockies between Saturday and Sunday. Depending on timing and temperatures, we could end up with rain and/or snow in that time frame that could slow travel, but there will likely be shifts in all of those factors between now and next weekend.Â
