Tracking patchy fog, mild temperatures, and rain for parts of Mid-Missouri Saturday
TONIGHT: Drizzle before midnight with patchy fog developing through daybreak. Lows in the mid-40s.
TOMORROW: Morning fog followed by cloudy skies and rain for southeast Missouri. Highs in the mid-upper 50s.
EXTENDED: As low pressure works northeast tonight, rain showers come to an end. Clouds look to hold, but with warm air still moving in from the south, patchy fog will likely develop again overnight into Saturday morning. We'll be cloudy and mild tomorrow with highs in the mid-upper 50s as another area of low pressure works into the vicinity. That system will bring rain showers to southern portions of Missouri, clipping our southern counties near the Lake and I-44. Rain looks to exit by Sunday morning, leaving us with the potential to see a bit more sunshine with continued warmer than normal temperatures in the mid-50s. Another system to our north will bring rain chances on Monday, but the freezing line will be a bit closer with this round. Colder air moves in Monday night into Tuesday with highs in the lower 40s on New Year's Eve. The rest of the week is cooler than our seasonal average with highs in the 30s and lows in the lower 20s.
