Tracking rain tonight, mild temperatures through the weekend

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with showers moving in late. Patchy dense fog possible, especially north of Highway 24. Lows in the mid-upper 40s.

TOMORROW: Scattered showers and mild with highs in the lower 50s.

EXTENDED: Rain and storms to our south are still well outside the vicinity, but showers move in from the south late tonight and will linger into early Friday, with scattered showers possible through afternoon as that system exits east. We'll be warm again tomorrow with highs in the lower 50s. Saturday looks dry and warm to start out with highs in the mid-50s and a chance for a few showers at night before sunshine peeks through clouds on Sunday. We'll remain warm through Monday with afternoon highs in the mid-50s. Monday night, another low pressure system tracks through the region and brings a shot at rain along with much cooler air that settles in for the rest of the week. New Year's Eve will be chilly with seasonably cool highs in the lower 40s. New Year's Day and the rest of the week will be even cooler with highs in the upper 30s.
