Tracking dense fog, rain moving in late Thursday

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with patchy drizzle and dense fog developing overnight. Temperatures holding steady in the low to mid-40s.

TOMORROW: Dense fog early, with mostly cloudy skies and highs in the lower 50s.

EXTENDED: Temperatures will hold steady overnight with light winds and patchy drizzle. Dense fog develops late tonight and holds thick through much of tomorrow morning, but clouds will stick around throughout the day once it lifts. Highs reach the lower 50s with showers moving in by late tomorrow night. Rain holds through early Friday with clouds sticking around during the day and highs in the mid-50s. We have a warm weekend ahead as temperatures remain in the mid-50s through Monday, but another storm system will bring changes as we close out 2024 with rain on the way again Monday night into Tuesday morning. Colder air returns on the heels of that system, with highs in the lower 40s on New Year's Eve and upper 30s by New Year's Day.
