Tracking a cold weekend but a warm Christmas

TODAY: Thursday is a warmer day than Wednesday thanks in large part to south winds. We'll have south to southwest winds around 10-15 mph, gusting 20-30 mph at times. Wind chill will be a factor through the morning, making us feel like 20s and 30s in the wind. We'll have some sunshine, with partly cloudy skies expected.

TONIGHT: A cold front arrives tonight. It won't bring rain, but it will cool us down over the weekend. Temperatures fall into the low 20s by Friday morning.

EXTENDED: We'll have highs near freezing Saturday, and in the 30s through Saturday. We may just get to 40 by Sunday afternoon. Southerly flow brings warmth next week, but also moisture. We'll have chances for rain on Monday and Tuesday, as a weak cold front moves through some time overnight. Not a big cool down expected with this one, as temperatures remain warm with the overall pattern well into next week. For now, Christmas day looks warm, with very little chance at any precipitation.
