Tracking a warmer Thursday followed by a cold end to the week

TONIGHT: Decreasing clouds and chilly with lows in the upper 20s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and windy with highs in the upper 40s.

EXTENDED: Clouds clear out gradually tonight, leaving us with temperatures in the upper 20s by tomorrow morning. Thursday is looking breezy with highs in the upper 40s and more sunshine. A disturbance will move in from the north tomorrow night, pulling yet another cold front through and dropping temperatures quite a bit by Friday. Highs reach the 30s on Friday with surface high pressure settling in through the weekend, keeping temperatures below average. Another low pressure system moves in off the Plains on Sunday night into Monday, bringing a shot at widespread showers and warmer temperatures. Rain could linger into Tuesday, but we're still looking at above average temperatures in the upper 40s for Christmas Eve. Christmas Day is looking dry with highs in the lower 50s. The overall pattern is looking warmer than average with rain returning at the end of the week into next weekend.
