Tracking light rain tonight, cooler air tomorrow

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with light rain through late evening. Lows in the mid-30s.

TOMORROW: Morning clouds with afternoon sun returning. Highs in the lower 40s.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking a cloudy night with spotty showers developing in the next couple of hours and continuing into the overnight hours before pressing east. Rain amounts will likely be under 0.1". Clouds stick around in the morning with cool temperatures holding on through the day. Highs reach the lower 40s tomorrow as late day sunshine returns. We'll be colder by tomorrow night as clear skies hold on and lows fall into the mid-20s by Thursday morning. Thursday is a touch warmer, but a weak disturbance from the north will send clouds in our direction in the evening along with colder air heading into Friday. The arctic air mass settles in for the weekend as the jet stream pulls in colder northwest winds, keeping highs in the 30s. Next week warms up with highs back into the 40s on Monday to near 50 by Christmas Eve. Rain is possible next Tuesday-Tuesday night with another shot at the end of next week.
