Tracking a warmer weekend and very slim chances for precipitation ahead
TODAY: Friday is another frigid morning with temperatures in the teens to start. This will be with calm winds at first, but then they pick up intensity from the south and warm us to near 40 this afternoon. With that said, the wind will also implement a bit of wind chill by late morning. Keep the big coat today!
TONIGHT: We'll fall below freezing despite continued south flow. Skies stay clear.
EXTENDED: Starting the day in the 20s, we'll warm to near 50 under sunshine and south winds. We're warmer yet Sunday when highs reach upper 50s under more clouds. These clouds precede very low chances for rain overnight into Monday. Most will stay dry, but shower chances are best near I-44. That rain exits Monday morning, and we're dry until round two of moisture arrives from the south. This brings rain chances to largely the same region near I-44. Still, exact track is unclear. What is also unclear is how it will react with the influx of cold northwesterly air behind a cold front on Tuesday. Overall, precipitation chances are low, around 20%. While precipitation chances are low, a cool down is likely. How strong and how prolonged that cooldown is remains uncertain.
