Tracking a warm up on Friday, mild weekend ahead

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cold with lows in the teens.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and warmer with highs near 40.

EXTENDED: High pressure moves to the south tomorrow, shifting winds to the south and sending temperatures back above freezing during the day with plenty of sunshine. Upper high pressure builds to our south for the weekend, sending low level winds back from the southwest. Temperatures will soar back to near 50 on Saturday with sunshine. A disturbance to our south will slide by between Sunday and Monday, increasing clouds across Mid-Missouri with temperatures in the mid-upper 50s. A few showers will be possible on Sunday night into Monday, with greater chances of precipitation possible early next week as another cool down sets in by Tuesday.
