Tracking frigid air moving in overnight, single digit wind chills

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and windy with northwest wind gusts up to 35 mph. Lows in the teens with wind chills in the lower single digits.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and cold with highs in the upper 20s. Wind chills in the teens through the day.

EXTENDED: A strong cold front moves in tonight and ushers in bitterly cold air by morning. Lows fall into the teens with wind chills in the single digits area wide. Wind gusts overnight could top 30 mph, and breezy conditions stick around into early tomorrow. Highs reach the upper 20s with a wind chill in the teens through the day. As high pressure slides to the south on Friday, we'll see a wind shift and a warm up into the upper 30s. The weekend is looking pretty pleasant to get outside with highs in the 50s, but I'm keeping an eye on a disturbance that could bring rain for parts of the area by Sunday evening into Monday. We'll be on a temperature rollercoaster yet again next week with a cool down mid-week followed by more mild air next weekend.
