Tracking frigid temperatures overnight, chilly week ahead

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and frigid with lows in the teens.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and chilly with highs in the mid-30s.

EXTENDED: Skies continue to clear out tonight as clouds gradually exit, leaving temperatures to plummet into the lower teens. Tomorrow will be cool and much brighter, allowing temperatures to increase a bit into the mid-30s. Winds shift back around to the southwest tomorrow night, with temperatures rising through the 30s overnight. Wednesday is windy and much warmer with highs close to 50, but will feel cooler with the strong gusts. A dry cold front moves through on Wednesday night, opening the door to another arctic high pressure system that will keep temperatures cooler than average and dry weather around through the end of the week. As that system works east, we'll see another wind shift over the weekend that will allow temperatures to head back into the upper 40s to around 50 between Saturday and Sunday. We don't see much precipitation on the horizon until perhaps early next week.
