Tracking a chance of light snow for the Monday commute

TODAY: Partly cloudy with temperatures near or below freezing through the afternoon. The snowpack will stick around, and minor roadways could still be slushy. Light snow is expected in northeastern Missouri after midnight, tracking south into early Monday.

TOMORROW: Flurries are possible during the Monday morning commute for the eastern half of Mid-MO but snow amounts will be much lower than our first round this weekend. Totals are generally under an inch, closer to a dusting in Columbia and Jefferson City, and little to no snowfall is expected in western MO. Snow ends by 9 a.m. with temperatures remaining below freezing during the day.

EXTENDED: Tuesday finally creeps back above freezing in the mid-30s and a sharp warmup to the upper 40s is expected on Wednesday. Temperatures then dive quickly again late week after a strong but dry cold front brings another blast of cold.
