Tracking dry, cold, and breezy weather before a weekend warmup

TODAY: Thursday is another blustery and cold day, this time with temperatures about 10 degrees colder through the day, meaning feels like temperatures in the 20s this morning, and 30s this afternoon. Thick clouds will be overhead this morning, but more sunshine returns this afternoon. Winds may again gust as high as 30 mph from the northwest.

TONIGHT: Temperatures fall into the 20s early Friday, with a light breeze continuing into the overnight.

EXTENDED: Friday is cold, and mostly cloudy, with more low and thick clouds trying to fill in from the north. This helps to keep temperatures in the low 40s, feeling like 30s with a little wind. Winds will be lighter on Friday, sustained around 5-10 mph, and gusting to 10-15 mph in the morning. South winds and more sunshine put temperatures in the 50s Saturday, and 60s Sunday, with a cold front bringing more north wind back into the picture Sunday night into Monday morning. Right now, moisture is in short supply, but a few showers could be possible near I-44 to St. Louis, but most of us will miss out on rain. Small changes here could lead to a chance for showers Monday morning, so stay tuned to the forecast, but better rain chances hold off until the middle of next week, just in time for Thanksgiving.
