Tracking scattered showers Wednesday, mild end to the week

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and chilly with lows in the lower 40s.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy with light rain through much of the day. Highs in the mid-50s.

EXTENDED: Clouds start to roll in tonight ahead of our next rain chance. Showers hold off until after daybreak, moving into our western counties around 7:00 a.m. Rain will work into areas around Columbia and Jefferson City by mid-morning, exiting the region by late afternoon. We'll reach the mid-50s again tomorrow with rain around, and clouds keep us in the 40s heading into Thursday morning. The end of the week is quite nice with highs near 60 on Thursday and Friday, and slightly warmer with more clouds over the weekend. We are watching a more active pattern set up for next week with rain possible on Monday, and a stronger, colder low pressure system potentially setting in late next week. We're expecting a big cool down with highs in the 40s at the end of next week, and more precipitation possible.
