Tracking a cool and cloudy Thursday

TONIGHT: Increasing clouds with lows near 40.

TOMORROW: Scattered clouds with highs in the upper 50s.

EXTENDED: We can expect some patchy cloud cover to hang around tonight as temperatures fall into the low 40s yet again. We'll start the day cloudy tomorrow, with some peaks of sunshine later in the day. Friday is looking a bit drier, but we'll have cloud cover to keep temperatures near 60. Rain moves in overnight Friday through Saturday afternoon, leaving us with about 0.5" to 1" of rain to round out our week. In Columbia, the 3-day rain total added up to 2.75". The rest of the weekend will be pleasant with more sunshine and highs in the low 60s on Sunday. Next week, we gradually warm each day with dry weather and highs near 70 by Tuesday. Wednesday could bring our next round of rain and storms, and I'm keeping a close eye on potential ingredients for severe weather.
