Tracking a cool and dry Halloween

TODAY: Thursday is dry after rain exits this morning. Westerly winds around 10-15 mph may gust to 20+ mph, cooling us through the morning. If temperatures can settle and rebound this afternoon, it will only be into the 50s. We'll stay mostly cloudy through the morning, with a peak at sunshine late in the afternoon before sunset.

TONIGHT: Skies are clearing, and temperatures are cooling tonight. At 5 p.m. temperatures are likely in the 50s, but fall into the 40s by 8 p.m. Trick-or-treat hours look cool and dry. We will have a light breeze from the northwest.

EXTENDED: Friday is a sunny start to November, with temperatures reaching low 60s for highs. Showers return as soon as Saturday morning in the south, but better rain moves in along a warm front Saturday night into early Sunday. Thunderstorms will be possible, but severe unlikely. Off and on rain chances will be present Sunday, but another focus for storms comes Monday night as a cold front is forecast to move through. This leaves us with clearing skies and cooling temperatures Tuesday through Wednesday.
