Tracking overnight storms before a cooler and calm weekend
TONIGHT: Overnight lows cool to the upper 50s with winds out of the southwest. Scattered showers and storms start closer to 10 pm in northwestern Mid-Missouri counties such as Chariton and Macon. The main threat tonight will be small hail and gusty winds. Showers and storms will weaken later into the overnight hours. Rainfall totals remain the greatest to the northwest with areas seeing up to 1/2" localized possible. Rainfall rates closer to 70 and south remain under a 1/4".
TOMORROW: Early Friday morning sees the last of the exiting scattered showers before a partly cloudy afternoon with highs into the upper 60s and lower 70s.
EXTENDED: This weekend welcomes mostly sunny skies with highs into the mid-60s Saturday. Sunday sees slightly warmer highs into the upper 60s. Mid-week next week sees more chances of showers closer to Wednesday remaining dry until that time.
