Tracking frost the next two nights

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cold with lows near the freezing mark. Widespread frost expected.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and cool with highs near 60. Overnight frost likely.

EXTENDED: Lows are expected to drop into the lower 30s across most of Mid-Missouri, allowing frost to develop. Some places may even drop below freezing in low lying areas. Winds shift to the south tomorrow as surface high pressure gets south of us, sending temperatures up to near 60. We'll have another shot at frost tomorrow night with morning low temperatures in the mid-30s. From there, winds start to pick up from the south, bringing gusts up to 20 mph and temperatures in the lower 70s through Friday. With dry air in place and gusty winds, the fire danger could be a bit more elevated at the end of the week. We are looking nice for the weekend with plenty of sunshine and highs in the 70s on both days. Any rain chance looks to hold off until at least early next week.
